today would have been the day michael jackson would be starting his o2 concerts in london. it's surreal to know that the biggest and greatest (in my opinion) entertainer has been dead for nearly three weeks. i hate that his death is what rekindled the long running love affair i had with his music and yes, even him. whether you love or hate the man he has made an impact whether you want him to or not.

i don't really make tribute icon posts because we've lost quite a bit of people that i'm a fan of since i started making icons and with the exception of my grandmother - this will be the first one i make for a celebrity, or should i say icon. i always have a million things to say in my head but the words escape me now so i'll just go ahead and go on with this tribute post. when i had my very first icon journal back in the day, i had every intention of making some michael icons and never got around to it and now i deeply regret that so, on with icons of the king. and yes, i even included some crazy lacefront rocking icons. ♥

this icon batch is SO small but that's only because it's been about a month since i made these icons and there really are no other ones i have to add to them. i'm trying to start over with my picture collecting and also i just really felt like dedicating a few batches to michael jackson. and yes, i'm a fan of his. i'm not the type of person to dedicate an 'in loving memory' icon batch to people (even the ones i'm a huge fan of) but i feel compelled to do this for michael. with the exception of my grandmother - this is the first time i'm doing this. i will develop deeper into this when i do post the icons and funnily enough, i had been wanting to make some icons of him about two months ago and i just kept putting it off because i didn't know any great sites. but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

for now, i have icons of the beautiful barack and michelle and the ridiculously good looking rdj. enjoy 'em, folks!

my seventieth post, dedicated to nip/tuck season finale! i am so late with this and it's kind of embarrassing but what can you do? i liked the season finale. i'm seeing that a lot of n/t fans weren't fond of it but it was VERY ryan murphy and i don't know what people are complaining about. i enjoyed this season because we got to see more liz cruz and if you don't know by now, i LOVE roma maffia and i love what she does with liz's character. she is phenomenal and extremely underrated. it's sad that liz and christian won't stay together (for the sake of wilbur, who now has a mommy that will take care of him always) because i liked the dynamic between them but i hope that they at least remain friends and nothing tragic happens to them. and lol @ kimber. gosh, i used to LOVE her and i LOVED her and christian together but that relationship is so dead now. let's not beat it with a horse. seriously, guys. let it go.

i'm really enjoying this summer and it hasn't quite begun. sure, i'll be broke beyond belief because i've just gotten my very first apartment and am therefore destitute until i get on my feet but i'll always have icons! so i'm making icons and icons and i'm going to be writing a lot. this is going to be an exciting summer. and [info]angry_tears, i have some nip/tuck season finale in my next batch (finally!)!!! i decided to make icons of my favorite sitcom ever (next to living single), the golden girls! i love them all. esp. dorothy ♥ she was my heart.

i didn't get to finish my entire post but i had to do this because i wasn't going to stop myself and i really needed to. i tried to do something different with textures and a new coloring style. whatever the case, i hope you like them. i don't know how i feel about it, lol.

forgive me, i don't know what happened but between viewing star trek xi this weekend, i seemed to have somehow gotten lost in all the amazement of the pairing spock/uhura. so, i'm warning you guys that there will be some quinto and saldana overload. take it whatever way that you will, there is so much pretty and potential with it that i am going to explore it. in any case, i did at least make time for princess and the frog trailer caps so there ya; go and i made so many that i won't ever have to make icons (until another trailer is released) again. share my love, won't you? and because the images are hard to locate, i made a little batch of the no. l ladies' detective agency. you need to be watching the re-runs if you haven't watched the show. you're missing something great!

words cannot express my complete joy and excitement!!!  
all right, so i know i just went squee crazy over star trek but there is another movie i've been anticipating since march of 2007.

disney's the princess and the frog. i'm so excited and the trailer has been officially released this evening and i'm sharing it with you all.



i'm also asking that you all go and check out my community i dedicated to the film in november of 2007.

i'm really anticipating the release of star trek! i mean, i haven't been able to sleep i'm so excited. i'm such a nerd. i'm supposed to see the film tonight. if i have the money. if i don't, i'm going to sneak in the theater, lol. in any case, i need to get screencaps of the third trailer because i don't want to make icons of the film unless they are official. i want to make a mood theme when the film is on dvd. don't hold me to that though, lmao.

so i made a BUNCH of the secret life of bees icons today. i want to just personally say thank you to [info]zxfactor for the caps he/she made of the film. these are the best caps i have seen made of a film. ever. and i enjoyed making these icons - even if it took me two weeks to do it. this movie affects me in ways i can't begin to describe. reading the book, i didn't think i would be upset when i watched the film but i made caps with tears in my eyes. such is life. i really need to finish my nip/tuck icons and i should have finished them much earlier but i fell behind but i will. i have to! liz and christian got married on that episode and liz told off kimber. i can't believe i actually miss nip/tuck. it's been a long time since i've had that feeling. i also want to make icons of lost but we'll see. lj needs more naveen andrews. am i right?

second batch! for my followers, you can see that i have a different default icon which means that i clearly have a new layout and info. it's by the talented [info]minty_peach. i just edited it a bit and added my own header and also new info header. i actually liked the coloring so i didn't change it but omg, i actually worked on a layout instead of just being lazy.

what do you think?

so this is the second peewee post, as promised. i'm really glad i got feedback with my post and i love that there are people that love peewee just as much as me. it was another great thing i shared with my grandmother.

also, i think johnny depp would make a great peewee in a biopic. i'm just sayin'.

so, i randomly decided to make icons of films i loved as a child. in this great epic post and the first movie i can remember watching and loving to bits was peewee's big adventure. i wasn't born when the film came out but i absolutely loved the show and because i loved the show so much, my grandmother bought it on vhs for me and i watched until it wouldn't work anymore. so i decided to do this great epic peewee post.

peewee was a great factor in my life. random facts about peewee and me:
- he was my idol
- i wanted to be him when i grew up
- i dressed as him one halloween (i was four), gray suit and white shoes and everything
- i did not realize he was an adult until i became a teenager (sadly)
- the 'tequila' dance is the most amazing dance in the world
- frances is the epitome of FAIL

this is a handful of icons before i work on my nip/tuck season finale batch. it was supposed to be this epic halle berry post but i changed my mind immediately after i wached the film (based off the graphic novel) "watchmen" and then immediately fell in love with the character ozymandias. those of you that have seen the film and/or read the novel understand when i say that i am in love with this sexy MF. don't fret though because i have more icons in the batch as well!

i really really loved this episode. i thought it was ab fab. the scenes with mrs. cadarello and her husband as opposed to sean and christian was an amazing dynamic. and of course, roma, as usual, manages to be such an incredibly talented but sadly underrated actress. i should have icons from the season finale up soon.
